League men tackle cause for Our Kids

WHEN a group of ex-rugby league players and officials decide to tackle something, it's usually approached head-on.

That was the case when the Northern Rivers-Gold Coast branch of Men of League held their first race day at Ballina on Saturday.

Legends came from near and far, indicating the growth of the movement from 105 in August 2004 to the present membership number of 325.

Their involvement at the race day was all for a good cause ... raising funds for Our Kides, a self-funded charity that works under the umbrella of the Northern Rivers Area Health Service.
