It?s all your fault
IT'S pretty hard to feel sorry for Damien Martyn, no matter how hard you try.
Martyn paid for Australia's Ashes defeat with his spot in the Test side after failing in every Test, even though he had had a peerless run in the previous summer.
FTB thought he was pretty hard done by, considering opener Matthew Hayden received many more opportunities to get his game back in order.
However, Martyn's reaction after scoring a century for Western Australia in a one-dayer against Victoria on Sunday was pretty poor form.
He blamed everyone for his demise, with special emphasis directed at the waiting media, for his demise and pretty much conducted himself with the maturity of an eight-year-old who has just been told he can't have an all-day-sucker.
Compare his reaction to being dropped with South Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie.
Gillespie conducted himself with humour and honesty and simply stated the obvious - he was out of form.
He held no grudges and vowed to fight his way back into the Australian team.
Like cheese and chalk.
