Its a tougher test for Kane

By PETER JAEGER

ANOTHER stern test awaits Kane Webber this week with the second stage of the United States PGA Tour School.

Kane breezed through the first stage but, as he would know, it only gets tougher and tougher.

Kane will tee it up against 78 other pros with a few spots up for grabs to progress to the final stage of the Tour School.

Some of those against Kane who would be well known to golf enthusiasts include Duff Waldorf, Notah Begay and Steve Bowditch.

Another interest for Rob and Julie Gibson and me will be Daniel Mitchell.

Mitchell and Lismore's Rhein Gibson have had many battles over the past three years on the US Collegiate scene, with Mitchell playing for Oklahoma City, the arch rivals of Rhein's Oklahoma Christian.

In an ironic twist, Mitchell has been drawn to play alongside Kane in the first two rounds.

Kane tees it up on Thursday in Texas and let's hope that his great form of his past two starts continues.

Go get 'em, mate.
