Hot stars, and sweaty

IT'S always big news when a celebrity scores.

And there'll be 20 of them getting hot and sweaty trying to do just that tomorrow night...in a celebrity footy game in Lismore.

A collection of Australia's bestknown music and television stars will be pulling on the guernseys for a celebrity showdown at Oakes Oval before the City v Country match.

X-Factor host and former Neighbours star, Daniel McPherson, singer Deni Hines and the winner of last year's Big Brother, Trevor Butler, are among the celebrities taking part in the charity match being hosted by the David Peachy Foundation.

They are set to be joined by Home and Away stars Chris Hemsworth, Beau Brady and Sam Atwell, Renovation Rescue chippie Luke Van-Dyck, and Luke Jacobz from Popstars Live.

Other stars involved include model Tahnya Tozzi, Neighbours star Blair McDonough, MTV presenter Yvette Duncan and former Home and Away favourite Dieter Brummer.

Rugby league greats Laurie Daley, Gordon Tallis and Mario Fenech will also take to the field, as well as Greg Young and Carly Nimmo from local radio station ZZZ FM.

The 20-minute game will kick off at 7.05pm.

Meanwhile, John Howard from Northern Rivers Ticket Centre, predicts all tickets to the City v Country match will be sold by lunchtime tomorrow.

Mr Howard said there would be no gate sales, regardless of whether or not the game sells out. He said like any open-air sporting event, no umbrellas would be allowed in the ground, however he didn't think the weather would be an issue.
