Hoons trash teenagers car

VANDALS who trashed a car at Uralba last Friday night put more than a dent in the dreams of Alstonville HSC student, Jordyn Hill.
Jordyn was shocked when she returned to her car at midnight following an end of term party to find the mirrors, wipers and side windshields bent, broken or completely torn off the vehicle.
The 17-year-old, who hopes to study journalism next year, had worked weekends and holidays for two years to buy her car and is now struggling to find the money to get it roadworthy again.
"This vehicle is imported from Japan and is a particularly difficult model to find parts for," Jordyn said.
She is hoping she can find the parts to fix it.
With a job in Ballina and drama classes in Lismore, Jordyn's anguish is understandable. She described the incident as really bad timing and violating.
"This really throws another spanner in the works. I couldn't believe it, I mean, I don't have any enemies," the distraught teenager said.
The damage was done while her car was parked at Uralba, near Alstonville, between 10pm and midnight last Friday, after dozens of youths had gatecrashed a private party.
"It was a friend's 18th birthday party and an end-of-term celebration for our year at Alstonville High and about 50 of our friends were there, but a lot of other kids turned up, perhaps as many as 50 as well" said Jordyn.
"I'd heard of stuff teenagers do but I never thought it would happen to me."
At this stage it appears to be an isolated incident, with no other reports of damage.
