Greys just that bit greyer after loss to Dorrigo

DORRIGO Dinosaurs XI retained the Spud Cup with a seven-run win over the Lismore Emerging Greys at Dorrigo in the annual veterans cricket match. Winning the toss and batting first, Dorrigo scored 181 from its allotted 40 overs. Ian Robertson top-scored with 26. Wicket-takers for Limore were Bob Myatt, Luke Downes, Peter Koskela and Geoff Gaggin. Bob McClelland, Bill Crane and Roger Boyd batted well for the Emerging Greys, but a late five-wicket haul by wily spinner Michael Moore got Dorrigo home. The Lismore team scored a consolation win in the Saturday stableford golf event, with Luke Downes and Ken Clark combining as the overall winners.
