Gearing up for clash of Titans

GENERAL admission tickets are all that are left for the Gold Coast Titans and Parramatta Eels clash at Oakes Oval on Saturday night and Keen Sports store owner James Coveney isn't surprised.

Mr Coveney said flags, footballs and jerseys proved the biggest sellers, with plenty of support for both teams.

"Parramatta have built a large following over the years but with the Titans being new and so close, people are starting to get behind them," he said.

And everyone will have the opportunity to highlight their support today and tomorrow.

Eels players Nathan Hindmarsh and Timana Tahu will be joined at Lismore High School from 2pm today by the Titans junior development team and first graders Nathan Friend and Daniel Conn, before the Parramatta players head to the Lismore Square Coffee Club at 4pm and Keen Sports at 5pm for autograph signings.

Friend and Conn meanwhile will be at the Lismore Square for a 6pm signing.

The rest of the squads arrive tomorrow with the Eels visiting two schools, Lismore Square at 4pm, and training at Oakes Oval from 5.30pm. The Titans will hold a clinic, training session and autograph signing at Oakes Oval from 3.30pm.

Tickets are available through Ticketek, or Bush Telegraph Internet Services.
