Four of Lismores five post offices have gone on the market

DEAR Lismore, You may have noticed a few changes at your local post offices remember those places you go to if you want to send a letter? No, not an email an actual hand-written note inside an envelope. Anyway, in a strange coincidence, four out of five of the city's post offices have recently gone on the market. There's no need to be concerned they're not closing down. It's apparently just a strange coincidence. Sincerely The Postie. INTERESTED in a post office? Terry Beadle and Joanne Cooper were, so they bought the South Lismore Post Office on May 1. Further up the road, on the same day, Vicki and Peter Robotham took over the East Lismore Post Office. Meanwhile, the Goonellabah Post Office is up for sale and the owners of the Lismore Heights shop say they would also be willing to sell for the right price. "I suppose people get burnt out and move on. Working at a post office is a lot more than licking stamps," Terry said. "But we love it here the people are lovely and South Lismore is a great place." An Australia Post spokesman said it was a coincidence all of the city's post offices were changing hands at once.
