JARRAD BROWN had his 'freak out' on Tuesday.

Lauren Dunn had hers on Wednesday, Christanie Dymock on Thursday and Dylan Brooks had his three weeks ago.

However, unlike other Northern Rivers Year 12 students preparing for the HSC exams starting on Monday, these students from Xavier Catholic College, Skennars Head, and Lismore Summerland Christian School, Goonellabah, have an extra reason to stress about getting good marks.

They are the first Year 12 students from their schools to go through the HSC.

Both schools have grown from just having a Year 7 ? Xavier Catholic College since it opened in 2000 and Lismore Summerland Christian School since it decided to expand from a primary school.

Xavier Catholic College now has 85 Year 12 students and Lismore Summerland Christian School has 20.

Jarrad and Lauren, from Xavier Catholic College, both said they had been studying madly.

"You feel guilty if you don't," Lauren said.

Christanie and Dylan, from Lismore Summerland Christian College, said they would use every minute left to study before Monday's English exam.
