Ex-Casino boys our best

IT was great to see the Casino boys, Matt King and Ben Kennedy, excel on Wednesday night.

King was exceptional on the wing in his Origin debut, while Kennedy was probably the Blues best.

As long as both avoid injury, they should be among the first selected for Origin II.

What a roller-coaster ride for King it's been during the past two years ... from a bench player for Cronulla reserve grade to Melbourne Storm star, NSW Country Origin starter and now NSW Origin representative.

But the two Casino lads weren't the only locals playing at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday night.

Junior Blue

Former Marist Brothers first-grader and now Sydney Roosters Jersey Flegg player, James Aubusson, played hooker in the NSW Under-19s against Queensland in the curtain-raiser.

Unfortunately, NSW lost 42-12.
