District's six of the best



FOUR Casino RSM bowlers and two from Evans Head are in the leading six for the 2005 NRDBA Bowler of the Year award.

They are (in alphabetical order):

David Ball (Casino RSM)

Peter Brown (Casino RSM)

Rod Farmer (Evans Head)

John Lang (Evans Head)

Brian Nixon (Casino RSM)

David Zorzo (Casino RSM)

The results of qualifying events will count until the closing date with the district secretary next Monday.

Ball double winner

David Ball has won the Bowler of the Year award twice and shared it once since the event started in 1997. He took it in 2000, shared it with Darren Kemp (Lennox Head) in 2001, and won it again last year.

The only others to figure in the results are wheelchair wizard Terry Wells (Lismore City), who won the inaugural 1997 award, Brian Bateman (Lennox Head, 1998), Viv Ross (Ballina, 1999) and Gary Burt (Casino RSM, 2002 and 2003).
