Davidson back in action for Boomers

MULLUMBIMBY'S Brad Davidson recovered from a groin injury to take his place in the Australian basketball team in the final match of the Four Nations Tournament recently.

Davidson, 31, was called into the Boomers squad on short notice after injuries.

He played twice but injured himself in the second game against China in Perth.

However, Davidson recovered and played New Zealand in the final game.

The point guard then toured New Zealand with the Boomers a few days later in their three-match series against the Tall Blacks.

The Boomers won all three with Davidson's best performance coming in the third game, when he played 38 minutes, scoring four points and dishing out six assists.

Davidson will turn out for the Hunter Pirates in the NBL this season.
