The car collided with a truck and a four-wheel-drive, causing the truck to run down an embankment. It is believed the driver of the four-wheel-drive was killed. Meanwhile, traffic on the highway north of Ballina was diverted after a crash at the Ross Lane blackspot. A woman's car was struck by a south-bound utility as she turned right out of Ross Lane about 3.30pm. She was taken to Ballina Hospital suffering minor injuries.
