Captain?s ton leads Lismore to victory

CAPTAIN Simon Milenko hit 118 not out to ensure Lismore continued its dominance of the Far North Coast Under-19 interdistrict cricket competition with an easy win over Ballina in the final yesterday.

Milenko, who will play cricket in England this year, was a class above the opposition as he took his team to 6-217 from its 50 overs at Oakes Oval, Lismore.

In reply, Ballina made 159, bowled out in the 47th over.

Mitchell Pickford (47) provided good support for Milenko with the bat, figuring in a 116-run partnership for the fourth wicket.

Josh Blackler (4-19), Chris Jones (3-26) and Wes Koskela (2-11) were the best of the Lismore bowlers.
