Byron croquet champ undefeated



THERE was some fierce competition in the Northern Rivers croquet championships in Lismore.

Despite showers, there was no disruption due to rain.

Players from most clubs featured among the winners.

Byron Bay champion Max Donati again won the top division undefeated, although he faced some stiff opposition. Winners in other divisions were: Singles: Division 2, Kevin Oliviera (Alstonville); Division 3, Jean Hill (Ballina); Division 4, Val Martin (Ballina); Novices, Lyn Lynch (Lismore). Doubles: Open, Max Donati and Robyn Stock (Lismore); Division 2, Julie O'Brien and Jean Hill (Ballina); Division 3, Joan Murphy and Lennie Downs (Ballina); Novices, Anne Morgan and Kevin Walsh (Alstonville).

Northern Rivers pennants will be played between district clubs next month.
