Buck?s night ends in jail

A BUCK'S night ended shortly after the groom-to-be, Anthony Wayne Camaroni, assaulted a Lismore hotel bouncer and a police officer, a Lismore Local Court heard yesterday.

The court was told the 37year-old Lismore man, who recently returned from his honeymoon, deeply regretted his behaviour.

It resulted in him being charged with assault and resisting arrest.

Camaroni was arrested on March 19 this year at 12.05am after he punched the security officer after being told the hotel would only serve him water. Police facts said Camaroni was put in a police truck before kicking an officer on the jaw.

Camaroni was fined more than $1000 and placed on a 12month good behaviour bond.

Police said Camaroni, who was too intoxicated to be interviewed, claimed he had three beers all night.
