Broadwater blackspot strikes again

By DAWN COHEN

AN RTA vehicle emblazoned with 'No belt, no brains' veered to the wrong side of the Pacific Highway in Broadwater, crashing into a family in a people mover late yesterday afternoon.

The green Ford Falcon, travelling north past Broadwater Public School, then rolled upside down into the culvert, according to John Degotardi, who saw the accident from his home across the road.

"The driver crawled out the window," said the resident.

"He said he didn't know what happened, that maybe he blacked out."

There were two adults and three or four children in the people mover, according to Mr Degotardi.

No-one was seriously injured.

"Accidents happen so often on this corner. No-one lives next door any more," said Mr Degotardi.

He called the RTA a few months ago hoping it would do something, but noth- ing has happened.
