Big crowd laps up the Jack Russell racing

BIG crowd gathered for the annual St Joesph's Nursing Home novelty Jack Russell races at the Lismore Greyhound Club track on Tuesday night.

The night was a huge success for the nusing home fundraiser, with the four-event Jack Russell card slotting into the 10-event greyhound program.

The races were dedicated to the late Terry Hassett, the founder of the Lismore Jack Russell annual event.

The first three placegetters from each of the two heats went into the Cup, while the rest competed for the Consolation Cup.

Next week it's the Norths Baseball Club fund-raiser.
