Ballina trio preparing for Games



BALLINA netballers Ally Koellner, Brittany McLeod and Lauren Bryant, all aged 15, have been selected to be part of the North Coast Academy of Sport's 15 Years Talented Athlete Program (TAP) for 2007.

The trio will compete at the Academy Games in Terrigal, south of Newcastle, on the NSW Central Coast, in November.

Netballers from 12 associations trialled for selection.

The three girls have been playing together at a club level since they were 11 years old.

They are all members of Ballina RSL All Saints Netball Club and play in the Ballina Under-15 representative team, where they came seventh in their division Lauren attends Xavier Catholic College and Ally and Brittany attend Ballina High School.

The girls are coached by Aime Clark.
