Aboriginal team named for trial

THE Far North Coast Aboriginal cricket team has been announced despite the selection carnival being washed out.

The annual Bundjalung Aboriginal Twenty20 carnival is usually used as the basis for selection into the Far North Coast team.

After being washed out, the new Twenty20 carnival has been set down for December 16.

But a trial match between FNC and MNC to select the North Coast team is set down for November 25 at Sawtell, so a side had to be selected before then.

Meanwhile, nominations for the Aboriginal Junior Development day for Sunday, December 2, are still being accepted.

All participants will receive a free hat and shirt on the day.
