A league legend writes for The Star
Seven-time Group One premiership winning five-eighth and former professional rugby league player David Krause will be The Northern Star's new league columnist.
Krause will kick off his new column on March 30, just before the start of the inaugural Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League competition, which combines the old Group One and Gold Coast-Group 18 leagues.
A regular first-grader with Lismore Marist Brothers for 14 seasons, Krause also had professional stints with the Brisbane Broncos, the London Broncos and the now-defunct South Queensland Crushers.
He retired at the end of last season when the Brethren went down to Mullumbimby in the Group One grand final.
Krause has indicated that he will speak his mind on all the issues confronting the game locally, nationally and overseas.
Welcome aboard, David!
