$745,000 motorhome steals the show

OLYMPIC gold medallist swimmer and Channel 7 personality Giaan Rooney yesterday added star quality to preparations to the 4WD Caravan, Camping & Marine Show when she did a live cross from the Lismore Showground.

But it will take more than a reputation as one of the nation's top swimmers to steal the show when gates open this morning for the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter fundraiser.

That honour goes to the Triple Slide 12-metres Swagman Executive Motorhome, which comes with a price tag even bigger than its name, and which will be displayed at the show.

At $745,000 its cost would fetch you a flash house at Byron Bay. Two would get you one closer to the beach.

Helicopter Service business development manager Nyree Epplett said the 10th annual show, which coincides with the helicopter's 25th anniversary, would be the biggest yet.

The show's events will appeal to children and families. The show runs from 9am to 4pm from today to Sunday. Entry is $8 adults, $5 concession, and free for children under 14.
