Antique milk cans stolen

FOUR antique milk cans used to collect donations at the Nimbin Museum have been stolen.

One of the stolen cans was found at the side of the road near Naughtons Gap and has since been returned.

However, operators of the museum are keen to see the remaining missing cans returned.

The cans, which have been used since the museum opened, feature the artwork of Nimbin artist Elspeth Jones.

Stolen during a break in, in which a number of shops in Nimbin were robbed, they contained the day's takings.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of the milk cans please contact Nimbin Museum on 6689 1123 or Nimbin Police on 6689 1244.
