Andrew’s $75,000 Mustang was ‘all for a good cause’
LISMORE businessman Andrew Bing has added to his old and new car collection after winning a 2015 Mustang GT in a charity auction.
Mr Bing paid the maximum bid price of $75,000, which will go towards the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
He said the car would usually sell around the $60,000 mark, but he was happy to pay more for a worthwhile cause.
“I believe what they (the Breast Cancer Foundation) do is right,” he said.
“I’ve got three girls ... hopefully by the time they get older these things won’t be an issue anymore, for their kids and other kids as well.”
Mr Bing received the car just in time for Christmas, after getting a phone call to confirm his win on December 23.
“It’s fantastic, awesome, I love it,” he said.
“I drove it to Queensland to a mate’s place ... the worst part about it though is getting it dirty.”
Mr Bing is the dealer principal at Trevan Ford in Lismore.
Three Mustangs will arrive at the car dealership today but they have already been sold.
Mr Bing said if you want to buy a new one, the wait time is over a year.
