And then came a spider ... to Casino gallery

THE KATIPO is an endangered spider from New Zealand and the only venomous animal native to it.

This cousin of our redback can be viewed in lifelike but safe form at Platypus Gallery in Casino.

Spidershack is an exhibition by local artist Pamela Denise.

It is a show of paintings, drawings and mosaic sculptures that reveals an appreciation of the complexities of our rural and coastal landscape.

"As metropolitan suburban refugees, we love to live in these wild beautiful places but in doing so we also have to learn to live at peace with the isolation, the deadly and the dangerous," says Denise.

Call in to see the show or, for more info, ring the gallery on 6662 3566.
