An excellent partnership

BANGALOW Pony Club member Kristy Hill and her seven-year-old horse Gwydion have excelled in all areas at the NSW Pony Club State Show Riding Championships.

The championships were held in Grafton last month and Kristy won the State individual championship for the 17-25 years age group.

The disciplines included led, bareback riding, educated horse, show horse and hunter to teams events of pairs and fours in riding and hacking.

Kristy has been a member of Bangalow Pony Club since she was five and has competed successfully over the past 16 years.

Zone 15 members from Grafton, Murwillumbah and Bangalow clubs achieved the State team championship award also.

This was the second year running Zone 15 has been awarded this honour.

Pony Clubs in the zone are preparing for the upcoming season of instruction, club days and competitions.

Bangalow Pony Club will hold a member sign-on day and demonstration day on Saturday, January 31 at the Bangalow showgrounds from 10am to 1pm.
