IT’S not easy to pick a favourite for the NSW AMCA Championship at Lismore Speedway tomorrow night.
Queenslander Shane McKinnell is a strong contender after his success in recent years at national title level, while the form driver is Daniel Scott, who comes to Lismore fresh from his success in the SA championship in Adelaide.
It makes for an absorbing contest, with a host of interstate drivers.
NSW champion Mark Lincoln is another State titleholder entered.
The host State will track a big entry list including Graham Flood, Darrel Kime, Shannon Jennings, Stuart Hall and David Robertson as the standout performers.
Queensland is strongly represented, while drivers from Victoria and the Northern Territory also have entered.
The Australian Motor Contest Association (AMCA) represents a lower budget entry category into speedway.
The AMCAs appeared on the Australian speedway scene in the mid-1990s and quickly became a national class of speedway racing with big numbers throughout Australia.
Also programmed will be the NSW Modified Production Sedan Championship in a big two-State double-header, supported by speedcars.
