Ambulance caught up in traffic accident

AN AMBULANCE was involved in a minor traffic accident while responding to an emergency call out earlier today.

No-one was injured in the incident which happened just after midday on the corner of Horseshoe Bend and Stewart Tce.

A second ambulance was sent to the scene to retrieve equipment from the first, and police directed traffic around the damaged vehicle.

A tow truck had to be sent from Maryborough to remove the ambulance, which suffered minor damage to the front passenger side quarter panel and headlight.

Emergency service personnel are urging people to be aware of emergency vehicles on the road during the busy Christmas period.
