Amazon the key to Terri's musical success

THE Channon singer-songwriter Terri Nicholson is planning to make musical history today with the release of her debut album "Fall into Feeling".

The mum of two is attempting to harness the power of social media to top the Amazon music charts and so pave a new way for independent musicians to gain an international fanbase.

Terri's CD is being sold for $20, but for tomorrow only every purchaser will also receive downloadable gifts worth over $5000.

Thanks to that incentive and mass exposure of her album through social media networking, the 36-year-old is aiming for 1000 sales today which would rocket her album up the international Amazon music charts all the way to number one.

Terri said she was using the online marketing strategy which had worked for a musical mentor who had seen his album go from obscurity to the top of the charts in a day.

"I think it's going to work. I've seen it work before," she said.

"I aim to prove, that as an independent singer/songwriter and a stay/work at home mum with my 3rd baby on the way, I can successfully share my music at an international level.

"It doesn't mean I have to travel and do a million gigs."

She describes her music as primarily acoustic folk, with a South American influence due to her years spent working with herbalists in Bolivia and Chile.
