Injured doctor now listed as stable

ALSTONVILLE GP Dr Nigel Chamberlain remains in the Gold Coast University hospital in a stable condition.

Dr Chamberlain was airlifted to the hospital following a cycling crash on Tuesday, September 23, in which he suffered serious head and chest injuries.

He was initially listed as being in a critical condition and was understood to have been in an induced coma. The hospital yesterday said Dr Chamberlain was now listed as being in a stable condition.

The accident, on Dillons Lane at Alstonville, came as a shock to the community with many people taking to Facebook to offer the doctor their well wishes for a speedy recovery.
