Alstonville bowler prevails in women’s state singles final

ALSTONVILLE bowler Amanda Marron has won the Northern Rivers section of the women's state singles.

Marron defeated Maureen Peart of South Lismore 25-19 in the district final at the East Lismore Bowling Club yesterday.

The quarter-finals and semi-finals were played on Wednesday.

In the semis, Marron defeated Georgie Moor of Ballina and Peart accounted for Jan Rhodes, also of Ballina.
