Alleged murder witness charged with being an accessory

A MAN who allegedly witnessed the fatal shooting of another man at a Sydney park earlier this year has been arrested.

Nikolas Argiropoulos, 24, was found dead by a woman on her morning walk at Ballast Point Park, Birchgrove, on the morning of March 22.

He had suffered a number of gunshot wounds.

The main suspect, a 28-year-old man, was killed in an unrelated incident in May.

A 26-year-old man was arrested at Marrickville business on Wednesday and charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder.

He fronted court on Thursday and was refused bail.
