Alleged gang member charged over fatal shooting

AN ALLEGED Hells Angels gang member has been charged over a gangland shoot-out which left one man dead and another injured in Sydney.

Strike Force Shenton was established following a shooting in a rear car park at George St, Eastlakes on July 8.

Police were told a group of men were fire upon by occupants in a black car before they returned fire.

A 42-year-old Hells Angel member died at the scene and a 25-year-old man suffered a gun shot wound to the leg.

A 36-year-old man was arrested at his Cranebrook home on Thursday morning.

He was charged with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

A 28-year-old man was also arrested and charged with intent to conceal a serious offence.
