Gymnasts have all the right moves

THREE gymnasts from the Ballina RSL Youth Club recently attended State and country championships, and they came home with a number of medals.

Reuben Scott, Kaylah Leeson and Leah Jenkins attended the State championships in Sydney, the country championships in Gosford and the State acrobatic championships at Penrith.

Reuben placed at both State and country championships in first, second and third on floor and apparatus. Reuben, 10, has also competed at various competitions in south-east Queensland, and also in Coffs Harbour, where he often places first in his level, which is level three.

Kaylah and Leah competed at two trial competitions in Sydney from which they qualified for the State acrobatic championships, and both bought home gold after placing first in their dynamic routine.

The Ballina RSL Youth Club will be holding a display and presentation day on Saturday, December 5, from 11am, and all are welcome. On offer they have kindygym, recreational gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, levels competitive gymnastics, boxing, general fitness and karate.
