Former test cricketer taking part in Casino bowls fundraiser
PREPARATIONS for the Mel Quinn Fundraiser and Bowls Day are hotting up and have been given a boost with the news retired Australian cricketer Andy Bichel will attend.
A confirmation email was sent to Casino RSM manager Neale Genge last week that the well-known bowler was thrilled to be part of the day.
"I'm not sure of his prowess with the black ball but when we explained the situation he was very keen to help out," Australian Cricketers' Association communications manager Eivion Bowen wrote in the email.
Melissa is a former Australian/NSW Women's Cricket representative player and support from the ACA has been very welcomed.
It's not the first time Andy has been to Casino, with a visit and cricket game at the ACA Masters tournament at QE Park back in March this year.
The fundraiser will be held Friday, November 21, and for more details phone Casino RSM 6662 1666 or visit MelQuinnFundraiser on Facebook.
