Airborne ute crashes into bedroom of home

A UTE jumped three metres across the front lawn of a Macleans Ridges residence before crashing into the front bedroom of the house this morning.

About 5.30 am police, paramedics and the Rural Fire Service responded to the crash on Cowlong Rd after reports a person was trapped in the vehicle.

Police said it appeared the ute went over a grass verge, through the front garden of the home before getting airborne for about three metres before crashing into a front bedroom of the house.

The bedroom was unoccupied at the time of the incident.

The driver of the ute was trapped for a short time before he managed to free himself.

Paramedics treated the driver of the ute for minor injuries.
