As the countdown to the Carnival of Flowers begins, gardens around the region have become the talk of the town.

The Chronicle photographer Bev Lacey captured the beauty of our gardens with these stunning aerial shots.

The floral displays are sure to wow the tens of thousands of visitors who will make their way to our city this weekend.

Now in its 66th year, the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers continues to grow bigger and better every year and this year's festivities will be no different.
