Adoption day to find forever homes

THE Northern Rivers Animal Services is holding a pet adoption day on Saturday.

Starting at midday and continuing until 2pm, it is at 25 Racecourse Road in the Southern Cross Industrial Estate at Ballina.

Kittens, cats, dogs and puppies are all looking for new homes.

The adoption fee for adult cats will be waived on the day, but only to suitable homes.

They have been vet checked, wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, micro chipped and desexed.

“We had a hugely successful day on Saturday, June 26, with lots of lovely people and a number of our foster animals found great homes,” organiser Michela Brown said.

“Sadly adult cats as young as eight months are over looked for the younger kitten, but adopting an adult cat has many advantages, which you can chat about to a NRAS volunteer on the day.”

Please bring a collar and leash or a carry cage if you are thinking of adopting.

For further information about the day phone 6681 1860 or email Northern Rivers Animal Services.
