Addsun adds more wins at Lismore
ADDSUN continued his impressive form at the Lismore greyhounds when he scored a good win in the Ballina Seagulls RLFC Stake on Tuesday night.
Addsun has taken on a new lease of life since being switched to distance racing and made it win number four from his last five starts at Lismore over 635m when he scored a good win.
Prior to that he had won just three races in moderate time from 40 starts.
Bonsai Cloud tried to lead all the way but when Addsun railed through to take the lead on the home turn he had too much in hand to beat a gallant Cool Rock Hero by 2¾ lengths with Bonsai Cloud fading into third spot another length away.
Addsun is owned by Michael Todd and trained at Woodview by Bob Humphrey who was a happy man after the win.
Five heats of the Cosmic Rumble were conducted over 520 metres and Sydney visitor Velocity Cloud was the fastest to qualify for the rich final.
Velocity Cloud led clearly then appeared to lose her way in the run around the first turn and was headed by Tap and Rack. The Jason Mackay sprinter found plenty in the run home to pip Tap and Rack on the line to win by a half head in a good 30.32s.
Velocity Cloud is sure to be improved by the run and will be one of the favoured runners in next week’s final worth $8000 to the winner.
Other heat winners were Late Express (30.59s) Yorklea Mangus (30.42s) Sheeza Picture (30.59s) and Mad Max Phantom (30.36s).
