Academic year begins
SO YOU'VE got your offer and you've accepted a place at SCU, your next step is to enrol and select your majors, subjects, lecture and tutorial times before classes begin in the coming month.
Director of student services at Southern Cross University, Donna Moffitt, said that within the offer they've received, students can enrol by accessing a link provided which will give them all their options and enrolment information.
Ms Moffitt said that while offers are still being made, class registration has opened and it's important to get in as soon as possible to secure your preferred class times.
She said student services are a focal point that can connect students with a range of services that can enrich their student life while at uni.
"We aim to support students when they're commencing or returning and help them wherever we can with their student experience," she said.
"We understand that uni isn't just an academic experience - it's a life experience.
"I think it's a commitment of not just student services staff but all staff to help students and to add value to their experience of university, and I think all staff are committed to enriching that experience."
Orientation (or O Week) begins on February 13, and provides a chance for students to get familiar with the university campus, facilities and services by attending activities before classes start on February 18.
During orientation the student centre at Lismore campus will be open and a number of workshops to help prepare students for university will be held.
