A passionate campaigner
Name: Roger Wood
Address: Bora Ridge
Occupation: A retiree, who runs 88.9FM radio station, promotes Summerland Drags and is also on the Save Coraki Hospital committee.
Hobbies/passions: I love model live steam trains and gardening. I am passionate about my very large family (Roger is a great-grandfather nine times over) and my wife Robyne, who I will have been married to 50 years next January.
What sort of music do you like? Australian rock 'n' roll
What's your favourite food? Anything that Robyne cooks me.
What do you sing in the shower? "Robyne, I got soap in my eyes. Where's the towel?"
Who do you admire most and why? (Federal MP) Janelle Saffin. She is a true social justice warrior.
What cheeses you off? Unnecessary bureaucracy and at the moment the continued closure of the Campbell Hospital at Coraki.
If you could save two possessions from your burning house what would they be? Well it nearly happened to us when a back burn went wrong. We would take all the photos and the animals.
What is your favourite sport to watch? Drag racing... of course.
In a movie about your life, who would you want to play you? John Jarratt because he's a mate. He also knows how I think.
