A festive fundraiser

IT WAS music fest meets circus meets medieval fair - and now we can report this fusion of sight and sound otherwise known as In Good Company music festival raised more than $6000 for local charities.

The event, held at the Turf Club last November and sponsored by The Northern Star, raised funds for the Winsome Soup Kitchen, Five Loaves and mental health support groups.

"In Good Company was a great production and an important community fundraiser, which The Northern Star was proud to be involved in," said the paper's marketing manager Heather Williams.
