A commitment to caring and housing in our community
UNITINGCARE Ageing is providing more affordable housing options for the Northern Rivers community through its development of five units at Caroona, Woodburn, funded by the National Rental Affordability Scheme.
The spacious units feature two bedrooms and adjoining lock-up garage and expands on the well-known Caroona Woodburn Village, through which UnitingCare Ageing also operates a day respite service.
Now finished, bar the landscaping, the Woodburn units are being offered at 25% below market value for people aged 55 and over with an annual gross household income of no greater than $47,289 (singles) and $65,378 (couples).
UnitingCare Ageing has a history of providing high quality care to older people across the Northern Rivers, allowing them to stay in the community they call home as they grow older and require support.
UnitingCare said the new units were a further investment in the local community and reconfirmed the group's commitment to providing care and housing in the local community.
