Police who died in service remembered

MORE than 750 police have died on the job since 1803.

All of the fallen officers will be remembered at ceremonies across the country on Monday.

National Police Remembrance Day Memorial services will be held in Atherton, Biloela, Bundaberg, Charleville, Cloncurry, Dalby, Emerald, Gladstone, Gympie, Hervey Bay, Ingham, Ipswich, Longreach, Mackay, Maroochydore, Moranbah, Nanango, Caboolture, Rockhampton, Roma, Toowoomba and Warwick.

The Australian Federal Police will host a dusk service at the National Police Memorial in Kings Park in Canberra and the Queensland memorial will be held at the Brisbane City Hall, King George Square, Brisbane from 10am.
