Pakistan's captain inspires side to outside chance

PAKISTAN captain Misbah-ul Haq gave his side an outside chance to salvage something from the second Test against Sri Lanka in Dubai.

Misbah just missed out on scoring his sixth Test ton, dismissed for 97 as Pakistan reached 7-330 at stumps in its second innings on day four, a lead of 107.

Sri Lanka's aim was to finish Pakistan off cheaply overnight and take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

The first Test ended in a draw and the final Test will be played in Sharjah on Thursday.
