Man shot in leg and car riddled with bullets in Sydney

POLICE were searching for a gunman yesterday after a man was shot and a car riddled with bullets in Sydney's south-west on Sunday night.

Authorities arrived at a Rossmore service station to find a man using a rope as a tourniquet on his wounded leg.

He had driven there in his car and asked for help.

The incident followed a shooting on Boxing Day evening at a home in the western Sydney suburb of Willmot.

A 26-year-old man was refused bail after being charged with shooting a man in his 20s in the hand.
