Aussie film on show at festival

FILM buffs of all ages will be treated to a packed schedule of iconic Australian cinema when the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) Big Screen Australian Film Festival rolls into Yamba next week.

The festival, to be held at the Yamba Cinema, brings together a selection of acclaimed and award-winning Australian films and screens them over one weekend.

On offer this year are the films Happy Feet Two, The Hunter, Any Questions for Ben, The Eye of the Storm and Face to Face.

There will also be a screening of classic Australian film Gallipoli as part of a Port of Yamba Historical Society fundraiser.

The festival starts next Friday, March 23, with a screening of Any Questions for Ben, which will be introduced by Happy Feet co-director and co-writer Warren Coleman.
