76ers eyeing Simmons NBA debut in March

BASKETBALL: Ben Simmons could make his much-anticipated NBA debut after the All-Star break, according to reports.

Putting aside any setback in his rehabilitation, Simmons could play in March, with the possibility of sitting out the season also still a possibility for the 2016 No. 1 overall pick.

The report comes after Philadelphia 76ers head coach, Brett Brown, shut down rumours of a potential return at the end of January.

Simmons' debut has been much anticipated since going down with a foot injury on the last day of training camp. He suffered a fracture to the fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot, with this report claiming it's now completely healed.

The 20-year-old has recently joined the team in practice and on road trips, showing tangible signs that his recovery is going smoothly.
