$5000 for Mullum community garden

THE Mullumbimby Community Garden has received a $5000 grant to help develop their sustainable and organic food production.

Federal Member for Richmond Justine Elliot visited the community garden this morning to announce the funding which is part of the Federal Government's Volunteering Grants initiative, to garden members and local volunteers.

The Mullumbimby Community Garden co-ordinator Jeannette Martin said they would use the funds to purchase new occupational health and safety equipment.
