36ers must rebound quickly from loss

Adelaide will have to pick itself up from a demoralising 101-100 last-second loss to Townsville when it hosts the Crocs in tonight's NBL re-match and grudge clash.

Down nine points inside the final two minutes, some amazing long-range shooting by 20-year-old Crocs guard Mirko Djeric, who dropped in three massive bombs - two of them in the last 40 seconds - ensured the comeback win.

Adelaide shut up shop too early after its livewire import Jerome Randle set the 36ers on the path to victory with 28 points, at times proving unstoppable as he repeatedly threaded his way to the hoop.

Back at home, coach Joey Wright will want his players to go on with the job this time and in Randle's current mood and form the pocket dynamo could turn on a real show for his fans.

The final clash of round 10 will be an emotional one for Sydney fans and a tough one for new import Damion James, who at 201cm and 102kg, looks an intimidating type who can carry the ball or play the small or power forward role if required.

There will plenty of motivation to get a win tomorrow with the clash against new NBL ladder leader Perth the last game before the 'Kingdome' at Darling Harbour is demolished.

The stadium has hosted 303 regular season games, 28 playoff games, five grand finals and three championships, and been home to such stars as Steve Carfino, Dwayne McClain, Shane Heal, Matthew Nielsen, CJ Bruton, Ebi Ere and, more recently, Josh Childress.
